Production-ready, highly customizable animated crosshair widget for shooter games in Unreal Engine.

Welcome to Dynamic Crosshair

Dynamic Crosshair is a high-performance, modular HUD crosshair widget for Unreal Engine. It reacts smoothly to player movement speed, jumping, weapon recoil, and Aim Down Sights (ADS) states with zero per-tick memory allocations.

Game-Ready in Minutes:

Add Dynamic Crosshair to your HUD widget, wire your character's velocity and weapon firing events, and get a AAA-style reactive reticle instantly.

What is Dynamic Crosshair?#

In first-person and third-person shooters, the reticle is the centerpiece of the player's screen. A static crosshair feels disconnected, while building an animated crosshair from scratch requires tedious math for interpolation, outline alignment, and recoil recovery.

Dynamic Crosshair provides a complete, polished UMG widget component that handles:

  • Movement Spread: Arms dynamically expand when walking, sprinting, or jumping.
  • Weapon Recoil Kick: Instant expansion impulse on weapon fire that recovers smoothly.
  • ADS Tightening: Smoothly tightens reticle spread and dampens recoil while aiming.
  • Styling Freedom: Customize arm length, thickness, gaps, colors, outlines, and center dots.
